Other Workshops
The following workshops can be arranged for
your staff development days or as after school workshops at your
facility. A minimum of 10 participants
is required. Unless otherwise noted, contact Fish and Game's education

Discover Spring Wetlands
-- This curriculum unit workshop focuses on what wetlands
are and why they are important. Activities include guided imagery
and spring peeper survey. Grade Level: 2-5
Wetlands -- Focusing
on wetland identification, this unit is designed for the high school
level. This program is conducted with UNH Cooperative Extension.

Predators: A Close Look
at Wolves and Coyotes -- Explore the many myths and learn
the realities about what predators are and the role they play in
the ecosystem. Receive a unit on wolves and coyotes. Grade Level:
1-8.
New Hampshire Wildlife
-- Increase your knowledge about New Hampshire wildlife. Grade Level:
1-8.
Estuaries -- The
Great Bay and Seabrook estuaries are among New Hampshires
most fragile resources. This curriculum unit concentrates on the
importance of estuaries and how they function. Contact Sandy Point
Discovery Center, 603-778-0015. Grade Level: 6-12.
Animal Adaptation In Winter
-- Learn how New Hampshire's wildlife survive the winter. Activities
to do with your students will also be presented. Grade Level: 3-6.
Black Bear -- A
unit on black bear designed for elementary students. Grade Level:
2-4.
Additional wildlife workshop topics may be
available by special arrangement.
Special workshop for students:
Winter
Weather and White-tailed Deer -- Involves middle school students
in collection of winter weather data to be used by Fish and Game
biologist. Equipment and curriculum unit provided. Contact Mary
