Harry Gardner of Chester,
N.H. writes: "After missing opening day to go to my wife's
class reunion out of state, and returning at 1:30 a.m. only
to leave at 2:30 a.m. for the second day of the hunt... I
shot this 16-point, 860-pound bull with 52" spread at
3:20 p.m. after passing up three spike bulls."

Brooks South writes: "In
the [moose hunt news release], the 3rd to the last paragraph
refers to a fellow whose subpermittee left him high &
dry by moving to Colorado a week before the hunt. That's me!
I did get another subpermittee 2 hours before the deadline
to do this, thanks to the cooperation of the Fish & Game
Department (Karen Cleveland). We were successful -- here is
a photo of us (me in the red jacket -- Brooks (Russell) South
and the subpermittee, Rick Graham -- in the beard) and our
780 lb. moose! It was shot at 4:10 pm, and with the help of
a bulldozer, we got it off the mountain, and ended the day
at 11:30 pm."
