2008 N.H. Kids Fishing Photo Contest winners
In 2008, the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department and Kidz Rule USA (www.kidzruleusa.com), a magazine for children and their families living in New Hampshire, jointly sponsored a kids fishing photo contest.
The grand prize was a guided New Hampshire fishing trip in spring 2009 for the winner and a parent, to be filmed for N.H. Fish and Game's MyOutdoors, which airs on MyTV (TV Channel 50) on Saturdays at 6:00 a.m. and Mondays at 10:30 p.m.
Four First Prize Winners were also selected. Winning photos were not necessarily the biggest fish, but could be the child with the biggest smile or having the most fun fishing! Congratulations to all the winners -- and to everyone else who had great family fun fishing and entering the contest. The winning photos can be seen below:

| Nora Devine, of Freedom, NH, holds "a beautiful fish that we call a Pumpkin-seed. It was about a foot long, and you can tell by Nora's smile that she was thrilled with it. She caught it in Ossipee Lake with her trusty kid's Zebco rod and reel and a nice wiggly worm while on our pontoon boat." -- MaryPat and Bill Devine, Freedom, NH |
